Autumn 2020 Newsletter
Covid-19 and Fusion update
Now autumn is upon us, don’t forget we are still here to help. Fusion Credit Union is your local community savings and loan bank. We know things are still really difficult for some of you because of Covid, so if you think we can help in any way, do please get in touch.
And a warm welcome to all our new members over recent months.
In this newsletter we will remind members, their families and friends of some of the assistance available from Fusion, and other agencies.
Office and Collection points.
We are pleased to say the main office at Jigsaw in Lichfield remains open 9.30-12.30 Monday to Friday for withdrawing savings and applying for loans.
Jigsaw is a Covid safe space with frequent cleaning, hand sanitizer available, the wearing of masks and recording contact details compulsory for visitors.
Unfortunately our other local collection points remain closed for the time being.
The e mail system for withdrawing savings remains in place. Please send the following requests to email@example.com by e mail:
Address including postcode
Date of birth
First and last numbers of account number
Requests received before 12.00 will be processed for money to arrive in bank account later that day.
Thanks to the number of savers we have, Fusion has a good level of funds ready to support our members with small affordable loans. We will consider a loan of up to £400 when Child Benefit is paid directly into a member’s account.
Remember that membership is open to your family, friends and neighbours if they live or work within the areas of Lichfield, Burntwood and Cannock Chase District Councils. Pass this newsletter on to them too!
Initial applications can be made by e mail, phone (01543 415032 ), or by visiting Jigsaw.
Some members have been taking their customary Christmas loans early. The flexibility of our lending allows this and enables people to manage their finances to suit them.
On a much sadder note we have issued loans to two members who have lost loved ones who have died out of the area and the body needs to be moved back to their local burial grounds. The cost for the funeral directors to move the body is £200 for every county they drive through.
Staff at the Jigsaw office can issue vouchers for the Lichfield Food Bank.
There is also a Food Bank at Cannock
For those fortunate enough to be able to donate dry and tinned goods, there are collection points at major supermarkets.
Universal Credit-are you entitled.
You may be able to apply if you’re on a low income, out of work or you cannot work.
